Meet our panelists

Ulrich „Uli“ Pillau is an entrepreneur and angel investor. He is founder of apaleo, a Munich based start-up developing a next generation cloud platform for the hospitality industry. Previously Uli was involved in building up several very successful software companies in the hotel and travel space. His companies included Fidelio Software, today the worldwide leading Property Management System for hotel chains and hotels. Fidelio was later acquired by Micros and today is part of Oracle. Subsequently he was leading IDeaS, a company offering the first scientific revenue management software for the hotel industry which quickly became the standard Yield & RMS system for hotels around the globe. In 2010, IDeaS was sold to SAS Institute and today is actively managing over a Million hotel rooms with its software.

Ortensia is an experienced hospitality professional with more than 10 years of practice. After graduating International Law and French Language and Translation, she has found a real passion for the hospitality industry where she has had the opportunity and pleasure to further develop her skills: from Reservations and Meetings and Events to Revenue management and Sales and Marketing. She has a single goal in mind: show revenue uplift and increase profitability for her clients.

Kim Spolén is the director Infor Hospitality Nordics and has a background of working at several of Stockholm’s leading hotels for a total of 20 years, among them Sheraton Hotel, Strand Hotel and the Sergel Plaza Hotel and has also been a consultant during the opening of, among others, a 5-star hotel in Prague. He has wide experience of working with PMS, Channel and Rate Management and is also a frequent speaker on how to work with and optimise social media strategy in hospitality business. Before joining Infor, Kim worked for Hoist Group.

Annemarie Gubanski has a long experience in Revenue Management and Distribution. She is the founder of Taktikon AB, a Revenue Management and Distribution Consultancy for the hospitality industry. Taktikon is based in Stockholm, Sweden and offers education within Revenue Management, Outsourcing, Mentoring, Audits and Recruitment services. She is the founder of Revenue Forum and co-founder of popular Hotel Market Seminars which focuses on Revenue Management for the hospitality industry. Moreover, she is a sought-after lecturer, amongst others for the Revenue Management courses at Frans Schartau Handelsinstitut in Stockholm, Sweden.

Leif is the founder of Atomize and is Executive Chairman of the Board. Before starting Atomize he spent 12 years in the ad-tech industry where he founded Admeta, an automatic revenue management system for online publishers. Admeta managed 30 billion adviews every month and never lost a benchmark, not even to Googles competing product. In 2014 Admeta was aquire by WideOrbit Inc and in 2016 Leif founded Atomize.

Anna is responsible for growing D-EDGE business in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland. Her mission is to help hotels in the Nordics manage their online distribution. Anna Israelsson describes herself as a hotelier with a true passion for technology. After kicking off her career at D-EDGE as an Account Manager, Anna then evolved within the hospitality industry as a Hotel Manager in a brand new property in Paris, where she realized the impact of technology on hotel performance and success.
